Chichibu – Ichiro's Malt On The Way 2015 Japanese Single Malt Whisky (70cl)

A 2015 bottling of single malt from the Chichibu distillery in Japan, released as part of the On The Way series under the Ichiro's Malt name. It comes in a 70cl bottle. Chichibu stands in Saitama Prefecture. It was established in 2007, began production in 2008 and is operated by Venture Whisky, which was founded by Ichiro Akuto. The nose starts herbaceous, then brings caramel and tinned peaches. The palate has baking spices, apple turnovers and slowly growing nutty malt, and the finish offers dried apple chips and a hint of sawdust.
