This is a peated Japanese single malt from Chichibu, the distillery named after the small town where Ichiro Akuto founded it under Whisky Ventures. It is bottled at 53.5% in a 70cl bottle. Chichibu makes its single malt on the Scottish model, with particular attention to sustainability and naturalness. The character is built on light fruit and intense peat smoke, followed by a long, earthy finish.
