Ichiro's Malt & Grain World Whisky (70cl, 46.5%)

Ichiro's Malt & Grain is a blended whisky made by Chichibu Distillery in Saitama, Japan, in a 70cl bottle. It combines Scotch, Canadian rye, American whiskey, Irish whiskey and Ichiro's own Japanese single malt, which is aged for at least 10 years. The sourced whiskies are 3 to 20 years old when they arrive, then spend a further 2 to 3 years at Chichibu. Ichiro calls it an All-World Whisky. It is bottled at 46.5%, non-chill-filtered and without additives or colouring. The nose offers apricot, popcorn toffee, Meyer lemon zest and vanilla cream. The palate is lightly textured, with toffee, roasted chestnut and gingerbread, and the finish is peppery and honeyed.
