Chichibu – London Edition 2022 Release (70cl)

This is the 2022 London Edition from Chichibu, a Japanese single malt in a 70cl bottle. The distillery stands in Saitama Prefecture and began production in 2008. Chichibu works with Mizunara wash backs and small stills with steep lyne arms, and the mash is stirred with a wooden paddle. Ichiro Akuto's distillery has its roots in his grandfather's Hanyu distillery. The nose offers pear tarte tatin with fresh vanilla, toasted coconut, mango and guava. The palate is full of tropical fruit and incense spice.
