Chichibu On The Way 2019 is a non-peated single malt from the Chichibu distillery in Saitama, on Japan's island of Honshu. It is bottled at 51.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle, in an edition of 11,000 bottles.
This is the final release in the On the Way series, which leads towards a ten-year-old Chichibu. It is a vatting of casks aged between 7 and 10 years, matured in mizunara oak and bourbon casks.
The maturation is credited with giving the whisky a markedly indulgent character.
