This is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 47% ABV, made at Bardstown Bourbon Company in Bardstown. It is the first wheated mash bill in the history of the Chicken Cock brand, which dates back to 1856, and it replaces the former Small Batch in the core range.
The mash bill is 68% corn, 20% wheat and 12% malted barley. It is aged for a minimum of five years in barrels with a level 4 char.
The nose is honeyed wheat bread and vanilla with soft oak, caramel and a little fruit. The palate is creamy, with toffee, baked apple, cherry and gentle baking spices. The finish is vanilla cream and toasted oak with dried fruit.
