Chivas Regal Extra is a blended Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle. The larger part of the blend matured in sherry casks, which gives it a full, generous character.
The nose is fruity and sweet, with ripe pear and yellow melon rounded by caramel and chocolate, and a gentle spiciness from cinnamon, ginger and vanilla. On the palate the pear and melon come through even more strongly, with cinnamon and vanilla joined by almond. The finish is long and complex.
