Chivas Regal Mizunara (40%)

Chivas Regal Mizunara is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40% ABV. Introduced in 2013, it was the first Scotch whisky to be finished in part in Mizunara oak casks. Strathisla single malt sits at the heart of the blend, with Longmorn adding further complexity. Mizunara is a rare Japanese oak found in the forest of Nikko, north of Tokyo. Its wood is fragile and porous, and it lends the whisky subtlety and a distinctive spicy note. In keeping with the house style, the whisky is described as rich and fruity.
