Chivas Regal XV is a blended Scotch whisky matured for at least 15 years in a 75cl-class bottle size of 750ml, bottled at 40% ABV.
Maturation starts in American oak casks that held bourbon. The whisky then spends time in casks that previously held Grande Champagne cognac, which the brand describes as giving a refined, fruity and velvety blend.
The nose is rich and sweet, with marmalade, cinnamon and raisins. The palate mixes fruity flavours with caramel and chocolate, and the finish is smooth and velvety with a touch of vanilla.
