Royal Salute 21 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky from Chivas Brothers, in a 70cl bottle. Chivas Brothers first made a 21-year-old whisky in 1953 for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II on 2 June, and the name comes from the 21-gun salute. It is made from malt and grain whiskies of at least 21 years, blended in three stages: the malts first, then the grains, then the two together.
The colour is deep gold. The nose is fruity, floral and lightly smoky, and the palate is sweet, soft and full of nut flavours, with a long, silky finish.
