This is a 16 year old Ben Nevis, bottled by Chorlton Whisky from a single second-fill barrel at a natural cask strength of 52.8% ABV. It yielded 277 bottles and is non-chill-filtered with no added colour.
Ben Nevis stands outside Fort William, was founded in 1825 and has belonged to Nikka since 1989.
The nose is clean and coastal, with lime juice, blueberry muffins, candlewax and rose petals. The palate opens on lemon, white peach, bilberry and mint before turning salty, with honeysuckle and salted liquorice.
