This is a 12 year old Ledaig bottled independently by Chorlton Whisky, labelled 2009. Ledaig is a regular in Chorlton's selection.
The nose opens with classic peat smoke, salted almonds, seaside chips and oily old machinery, with apple and lemon coming later. The palate is sweet, salty, smoky and medicinal, developing into lemon, soy sauce and seafood. The finish brings tar, a pleasant sweetness and soy sauce.
