Christian Brothers Apple Brandy is a flavoured American grape brandy from California, made with natural apple flavour and bottled at 35% in a 75cl bottle. It is produced by Heaven Hill Distilleries.
The base spirit is distilled from California grapes in copper pot stills, then aged in oak barrels that previously held bourbon, which adds vanilla and caramel beneath the fruit. Natural apple flavouring is added to the finished brandy.
Baked apple leads the nose, with caramel and gentle oak. The palate is smooth and velvety, with ripe apple, dried fruit, hazelnut and baking spices, and the finish is sweet and fruity with vanilla and soft spice.
