Cladach Special Release 2018 is a blended malt made from whiskies of six coastal distilleries: Caol Ila, Clynelish, Lagavulin, Oban, Inchgower and Talisker. It is bottled at a cask strength of 57.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The blend draws on ex-Bourbon and sherry casks, and it is a limited release.
The nose is dark and fruity, with campfire smoke, conifer, caramel and beeswax. On the palate it is sweet, with toffee, vanilla, orange, liquorice and blueberry, followed by a gentle smokiness and oak.
