Clase Azul Reposado is a tequila made from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco, sold in a 75cl hand-painted ceramic decanter.
The piñas are slow-cooked for 72 hours in masonry ovens, fermented with a proprietary yeast and double-distilled in copper pot stills in Arandas. The spirit then rests for eight months in a combination of American whiskey, Cognac and Sherry casks.
On the nose it offers roasted agave, vanilla, toffee, toasted oak and candied orange peel. The palate is velvety and full, with agave sweetness, cinnamon, clove, hazelnut and bittersweet chocolate. The finish is long and warming, with spice and vanilla.
