Grain Barn is a 30-year-old single grain Scotch whisky from Claxton's, part of its Core Range. This is batch 2, bottled at 48% after maturing in ex-bourbon casks. The grain distillery is in the Highlands.
The whisky was aged in the former grain stores at Sandbed Farm on the Dalswinton Estate.
It is described as rich in fruit and spiced butter cake, with walnuts, light earthy notes of spiced forest mushrooms and a full apple tart pastry character.
