Napier is a Lowland single malt from The Clydeside Distillery in Glasgow, matured for over six years entirely in Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill filtered and of natural colour. The distillery opened in 2017 in the old Pump House at Queen's Dock on the River Clyde, built by Tim Morrison. The whisky is made from Scottish barley and Loch Katrine water with a 72-hour fermentation, and it is named after Robert Napier, the engineer known as the father of Clyde shipbuilding. His motto, "quality, quality, quality", is printed on the bottle. The nose is of ripe berries, sweet rose and tropical notes. The palate is soft and full, with orange marmalade, ripe cherry and vanilla over dried fruit, followed by a warming finish of clove and ginger.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
