Stobcross is a Lowland single malt from The Clydeside Distillery in Glasgow, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The name comes from the Glasgow district around the distillery, which stands in the restored Queen's Dock Pump House on the River Clyde.
The whisky is a marriage of ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry barrels.
The nose brings ripe peaches, vanilla, apple crisp and honey, with a green, herbal freshness. The palate is honeyed, with nectarine, pear, cinnamon and a little white pepper. The finish is medium and fresh, with orchard fruit and a faint sherry sweetness.
