Clydeside Stobcross (70cl, 46%)

Clydeside Stobcross is the inaugural release single malt from The Clydeside Distillery in Glasgow, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The distillery sits in the 1877 Queen's Dock pumphouse on the River Clyde and draws soft Loch Katrine water. The whisky was matured in 90% American oak bourbon casks and 10% European oak sherry casks. It is unpeated, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The name comes from the historic cross that marked the old route to Dumbarton Rock. The nose is fresh orchard fruit and malt with a hint of sherry sweetness. The palate is creamy and fruit-forward, with green apple, vanilla and light honey, followed by a medium, clean finish with gentle oak spice.
