Clydeside Stobcross (70cl, 46%)

Stobcross is a Lowland single malt from the Clydeside Distillery in Glasgow, and the distillery's first whisky release. It is made from Scottish barley only and matured in Bourbon and sherry casks. It is bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour. The name comes from Stobcross House, which was demolished in 1875 to make way for Queen's Dock. The distillery now occupies the dock's former pump house, built in 1877. The nose combines floral notes with fresh sweetness and tropical fruit. On the palate, orchard fruit leads, with a touch of white pepper. The finish is fresh and fruity.
