This is a 12 year old Clynelish single malt from the Highlands, part of the 2022 Special Release.
It is an unusual expression of the distillery. After maturation it was finished in PX and Oloroso sherry casks, which added sweetness and a touch of spice and developed the distillery character in an interesting way.
The tasting notes describe a slight trace of beeswax running through it, the familiar Clynelish signature, set alongside the sweetness and spice from the sherry finish.
