Clynelish 14 Year Old is a Highland malt from a Scottish distillery founded in 1819, in a 70cl bottle at 45% ABV. Clynelish is one of the most northerly whisky distilleries, close to a stream where gold was once panned. The malt also forms the heart of the Johnnie Walker Gold Label 18 Year Old blend.
The nose is rich and reminiscent of fruit cake, with spicy, slightly salty notes attributed to the nearby sea. The palate is sweet, with honey and vanilla, joined by smoky, malty flavours. The finish is long, fresh and fruity.
