This is a rye whiskey from the Mississippi River Distilling Company in Iowa, bottled at 40% in a 50cl bottle. It is made by hand in small batches.
The mash is made entirely from locally grown rye, which gives it a fruitier flavour than conventional rye whiskeys. The name looks back to William 'Buffalo Bill' Cody, born in Le Claire, Iowa, in 1846, who by legend preferred rye whiskey.
It is bottled without chill filtration and without added colouring.
