Crimson Casks is a blended whisky from Compass Box, built around sherry and red wine casks. It includes rich, powerful whiskies matured in American oak sherry butts, seasoned to bring spiciness and generous intensity from the oloroso influence. On the palate it is described as chocolate fudge cake with clove and cardamom, with plum jam and redcurrant jelly, then cherry, toffee and oak. The finish brings raisin, honey and brown sugar.
