Compass Box Nectarosity American Oak Bourbon & Sherry Barrel Matured Blended Scotch Whisky with Linkwood, Cameronbridge, Clynelish & Balmenach (70cl, 46%)

Nectarosity is a blended Scotch whisky from Compass Box, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It combines whisky from Linkwood, Cameronbridge, Clynelish and Balmenach, matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, custom virgin American oak, and sherry casks including Palo Cortado and a refill puncheon. The American oak barrels are used twice. First they add sweet spice to grain spirit, which then finishes its maturation in other casks. The same barrels then age malt whisky, and the two are blended with others. It is described as zesty, with honey, lychee, apricot and pineapple on the nose. Toffee and vanilla lead the palate, and cinnamon bun lingers in the finish.
