Peat Monster Cask Strength is the cask strength version of the Compass Box blended malt, bottled at 56.7% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition of 9,126 bottles.
The whisky was matured in refill hogsheads, barrels and puncheons.
The nose is strong with peat smoke, seaweed, vanilla, pastry and green apple. The palate starts sweet and silky, with almond, honey, banana, tar and cayenne pepper. The finish is medium in length and salty.
