Compass Box The Nectar (2021) is a limited blended malt, made to mark the 15th anniversary of The Nectar, the Belgian importer.
It brings together malts from the Highlands and Speyside, matured in first-fill bourbon casks with a small amount of French oak.
The nose is described as honey, peach, citrus, soft spices, vanilla and light floral notes. The palate is creamy, with fruity sweetness, vanilla cream, light pepper, warm oak and a little citrus freshness. The finish is medium-long, softly spicy and fruity, balancing sweetness and wood.
