Connemara Distillers Edition Single Malt (70cl)

Connemara Distillers Edition is an Irish single malt in a 70cl bottle, made in Ireland. It is a peated whiskey, a style the source describes as rare in modern Irish production, and it keeps the peat, smoke and maritime character of the Connemara range. After its first maturation, the whiskey is given a second maturation in casks that previously held Port. That stage adds sweetness, red fruit, raisins, spice and a little more depth and texture. The colour is golden amber with reddish tones. The nose combines peat smoke, damp earth and ash with ripe fruit, raisins and vanilla. The palate is medium-bodied, smoky and sweet, and the finish is long.
