Connemara Distillers Edition is a lightly peated Irish single malt, made as a limited edition for the French market. It is matured first in bourbon casks and then in sherry casks.
The Connemara distillery was opened in 1987 by John Teeling.
The nose is smoky and briny, with oyster notes alongside juniper, sweet caramelised orange and green apple sweets. The palate is fairly oily, light and soft, with smoke, apple, juniper and caramel. The finish is clean and fresh, with smoke, black pepper, juniper and lemon zest.
