This is a Craigellachie single malt from the Connoisseurs Choice range by Gordon & MacPhail, distilled in 1982 and bottled in 1997. It comes in a 35cl bottle at 40% ABV. The nose is intense, with lemon peel, quince and a lively, sparkling quality, alongside fresh Speyside fruit and a faint, slightly dusty old oak. The palate is lively despite the modest strength, with a clearly fruity profile, plenty of pale oak and the slightly oily touch associated with the distillery. The finish is very long, with orange marmalade, a clean bitterness of citrus peel and persistent, dry, tannic oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
