This is a single cask Benrinnes from Speyside, bottled by The Vintage Malt Whisky Company in its Cooper's Choice range. It was distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2021.
The whisky first matured in American oak and then received a finish in a Madeira wine cask, number 303341. Just 288 bottles were filled, at a cask strength of 54.5% and without chill filtering.
The nose shows nuts, caramel and dried fruit, with honeyed sweetness, baked apple and vanilla. The palate is full and oily, with grape syrup, cinnamon, clove, candied fruit and apricot. The finish is long and warming, with raisins, figs, nutmeg and walnuts.
