Cooper's Choice Strathmill Marsala Cask is a Speyside single malt from Strathmill, bottled at 50% ABV by The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. for its Cooper's Choice series. It spent time in Marsala casks, a fortified wine from Sicily, which adds sweet, fruity and lightly spiced tones. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose is dried fruit, honey and raisins with caramel, vanilla and a subtle spiciness. The palate is full and soft, with raisins, figs and a little orange zest, balanced by creamy malt and caramel. The finish is medium to long, soft and lightly sweet, with lingering fruit.
