Cragganmore 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt in a 20cl bottle, bottled at 40%. It is the Speyside member of the Classic Malts Selection and matures in ex-bourbon casks.
The whisky pairs a floral, herbal aroma with firm malt and restrained smoke, in a body of light to medium weight. Cragganmore was founded by John Smith in 1869 and stands in Ballindalloch, drawing water from the Craggan Burn.
The nose is sweet and floral, with herbs and blossom like a riverbank, plus some honey and vanilla. Malt leads the palate, with notes of sweet wood smoke and sandalwood. The finish is long, with malt, light smoke and a gentle sweetness.
