Cragganmore – 12 Years Old (70cl, 40%)

Cragganmore 12 Years Old is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40%. The distillery was built in 1869 or 1870, and Cragganmore was one of the first six malts in the Classic Malts series. The water comes from a nearby spring and is relatively hard, and the stills have a fairly flat dome. Both are thought to add to the complexity of the whisky. This is a well-balanced malt in which aroma, flavour and finish work together. It is a gentle whisky with no strong or dominant aromas.
