This is a 13 year old Speyside single malt from Cragganmore, distilled in 2003 and bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. It comes from a single bourbon cask, which gave 211 bottles, and is bottled at a cask strength of 59.4%. The Society's code 37.92 marks the distillery and the cask. The name Stem Ginger in Syrup points to the finish. The nose combines sweet lemon bonbons, wine gums, fruit candies and pineapple cubes with crushed mint leaves, heather and roses. The palate starts hot, fruity and spicy before turning to creamy vanilla nougat. The finish recalls chopped stem ginger in syrup over cinnamon ice cream. With water, the nose moves to rose perfume and honey baklava.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
