Cragganmore The Distillers Edition is a single Speyside malt Scotch whisky, distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2005. It is double matured, a special and limited release in the Classic Malts of Scotland range, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is rich and sweet, with cherries in syrup, raisins, dried plums, orange peel, vanilla, honey and a trace of peat smoke. The palate is medium-bodied and creamy, with red grapes, morello cherries and sweet malt, then white pepper and a dry, smoky edge. The finish is medium to long, starting with caramel and toffee before turning dry and slightly bitter.
