Craigellachie – 10 Years Old Private Reserve (59.3%)

This is a 10 year old Craigellachie single malt, distilled on 4th March 2015 at the distillery near the village of Craigellachie in Speyside. Cane and Grain selected it for their Private Reserve collection of single casks, and it is bottled at a natural cask strength of 59.3% ABV, in natural colour and without chill filtration. The outturn is 244 bottles. On 5th October 2023 the whisky was re-racked into a first-fill Pedro Ximénez hogshead, where it spent 14 months. The sherry cask adds depth and sweetness alongside the bold, robust malt. It is described as larger than life, with bold malt up front and a moreish sweetness.
