This is an 11 year old Speyside single malt from Craigellachie, distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2023. It comes from a single Oloroso sherry butt, part of the Exceptional Cask range, and yielded 636 bottles at a cask strength of 62.1% ABV.
The whisky matured entirely in that one sherry cask and is non-chill-filtered, with no added colour.
The nose brings sweet pineapple, dried grains and earthy notes with vanilla and a little black pepper. On the palate there is strong spice and popcorn, finishing long, spicy and warm with sherry and a hint of smoke.
