Craigellachie 13 Year Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Craigellachie 13 Year Old is the core Speyside single malt from Craigellachie Distillery, which was founded in 1891. It is made with traditional worm tub condensers and long fermentations, and matured in American oak ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. It is bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The character is rich and slightly meaty, with tropical fruit, malty sweetness and a little smoke. On the nose there are baked apple, pineapple, ripe pear, malty biscuits and vanilla fudge, with a hint of campfire smoke. The palate is full and slightly waxy, with pineapple, mango, barley sugar, toffee and spice. The finish is medium-long, with malt, oak spice and grilled pineapple.
