The whisky matured for 15 years in a combination of American ex-bourbon barrels and European ex-sherry casks.
The nose offers fresh orchard fruit, with apple, peach and a hint of star anise. On the palate come spiced fruit cake and a dry edge, leading to a long, smooth finish with a pleasant bitterness.
