Single Malt Whisky

Cask Type
Premier Cru Bordeaux wine barrique finish
A Craigellachie single malt distilled in 2007 and matured for 18 years, the last six of them in a single barrique that previously held Premier Cru Bordeaux wine. Craigellachie is a Speyside distillery. Alistair Walker bottled it for his Infrequent Flyers Collection, at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring. The wine cask brings ripe fruit, honey and raisins, a soft sweetness set against the savoury, muscular character of the spirit.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
