This Craigellachie is a 10 year old single malt from Alistair Walker's Infrequent Flyers range, Batch 12, Release No. 112. It was distilled on 27 May 2012 and bottled in March 2023, finished in a Madeira hogshead, with 300 bottles filled. The nose is unusual, with a savoury, slightly burnt and rubbery note recalling yeast extract, and frankfurters on a sweet brioche bun. With air come toasted oak, earth and grass. The palate is clearly sweeter from the Madeira finish, with thick honey, toasted brioche, marzipan, demerara sugar, dark toffee and a little allspice. It is rich, full-bodied and mouth-filling.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
