This is an 8 year old single cask Craigellachie bottled by the Dram Mor Group. It was distilled in 2013, finished in a first fill bourbon barrel and released in spring 2022, with 294 bottles filled.
The nose is sweet vanilla and delicate mallow, followed by soft cereals and a touch of honey. The palate starts earthy, with gentian, liquorice root and a little leather, then turns to a pronounced syrupy spice wrapped around the liquorice.
The finish is spicy with a touch of tannin, rich and mineral.
