This is an eight-year-old single malt from Craigellachie, distilled on 19 August 2016 and bottled on 19 June 2025. It matured in a fresh Oloroso sherry barrique, release EXP1083, and forms No. 11 in Claxton's Exploration Series.
The nose offers dry sherry notes with a touch of spicy musk. The palate is rich with barley, bittersweet oak and intense grape skin. The finish is gently bitter and lightly spiced, with a hint of salt and pepper lingering in the aftertaste.
