This is a 21 year old Craigellachie single malt from the Connoisseurs Choice range by Gordon & MacPhail. It was distilled in 2002 and matured in a refill bourbon barrel, number 15602203, then bottled in April 2024. It is unfiltered and uncoloured, and the single cask gave 219 bottles.
The nose has white chocolate and vanilla, crisp apples and malty sponge biscuits. The palate brings ripe banana, juicy mango and sweet peach, with a hint of aniseed. The finish is medium in length, with lively pepper and a sharp note of lemon.
