This is a 23 year old single malt from Craigellachie.
The nose is oily, slightly dirty and industrial, balanced by orchard fruit, with baked apple, heather honey and mead and a touch of sulphur. On the palate baked apples, pears and a robust meatiness lead. It is oily, with the distillery's sulphur character to the fore, along with herbal, slightly ashy notes, and honey that is not especially sweet. Nutmeg completes the picture.
