Craigellachie 23 Years Old is a single malt bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is complex: golden honey, orange, wild flowers and green apple, with ripe pineapple, old leather, wax and a faint sulphury note. The palate is dense, chewy and oily, with toffee, creamy vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg, followed by pineapple grilled until lightly smoky.
The finish is long, warm and balsamic, with peppery spices, toasted oak, menthol and a very gentle campfire smoke.
