Cyrus Noble is a bourbon with a long Californian history. It was first brought to San Francisco's Barbary Coast in 1871 by the Haas Brothers, and the label is still owned by the family, now run by a great, great grandson of its founders. The whiskey was originally distilled in Kentucky.
The recipe is 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley, and it has not changed. This 5+ year version comes from Bardstown Bourbon Company, after earlier years supplied by Heaven Hill. It is bottled in a 75cl bottle.
Sweet baking spices lead, with toffee and peanut brittle and a peppery edge.
