Dailuaine – 10 Year Old Reserve Cask (The Single Malts of Scotland) (70cl, 48%)

Dailuaine 10 Year Old Reserve Cask is a Speyside single malt from the Elixir Distillers range The Single Malts of Scotland, bottled at 48% abv in a 70cl bottle. It is a small batch made from six hogsheads and one barrel, distilled between 2006 and 2011 and aged for a minimum of ten years. The whisky is fruity and creamy, with bright citrus notes. Honeydew melon and buttered toast with honey come on the nose. The palate moves from melon to juicy pear with lemon rind and vanilla cream, and the finish has lemon sherbet, almonds, hazelnut and orchard fruits.
