Dailuaine – 12 Year Old Laudale Adelphi Batch 3 (70cl, 46%)

This is a Dailuaine bottled by Adelphi as Laudale Batch 3. It was distilled on Speyside in 2008 and matured for 12 years in a first fill sherry cask, then bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The batch numbers 1,420 bottles. The first fill sherry cask gave the whisky a dark, cola-like colour. Tasting notes describe a nose of dried fruit, vanilla, leather, banana cake, raisins and orange peel. The palate brings syrup pudding, Seville orange peel, buttery notes and clotted cream, and the finish recalls a Twix bar with hazelnut oil and dark chocolate.
